A visionary leader, author, and entrepreneur, Dr. Carolyn Horne Robins stands as a fervent advocate for women, driven by a singular conviction: every woman is worthy of visibility, celebration, and a deep connection to her innate strength.

Initiated in 2018, this mission was sparked by a profound desire to honor her mother’s memory following her battle with cancer. It evolved into a significant movement focused on uplifting women whose contributions frequently resonate long before they receive public acclaim. Witnessing women innovate, lead, and heal their communities without seeking recognition, Dr. Robins felt compelled to design a stage where their narratives could shine brilliantly.
From this foundational vision, the beHER Awards emerged.

Today, beHER has expanded from an annual ceremony into a comprehensive movement dedicated to power, intentionality, and lasting influence. Through initiatives like the beHER Awards and Sis, Let’s Pray, alongside her ministerial efforts, Dr. Robins fosters environments where women are empowered to embrace their identities, step confidently into their callings, and recognize the inherent worth of their own paths.
Her personal history is a tapestry of faith, resilience, and leadership born from both triumph and loss. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and an Honorary Doctorate, she was further distinguished in 2026 with the Global Recognition Award™ in Leadership for her steadfast commitment to elevating others through service.

Deeply rooted in faith, Dr. Robins continues her service in ministry and as the Chaplain for the Fayette County Section of the National Council of Negro Women.
Beyond her professional accolades, she is defined by her devotion to family as the wife of Mr. Robert Robins and the mother of Minister Isaiah A. Horne. Faith and legacy remain the cornerstones of her life’s work.  She believes that becoming HER is not a pursuit of perfection, but an act of bravery the courage to claim your value, speak your truth, and forge a path that inspires others.
