2019 Honoree of the

Ella M. Anderson Horne Award

The Ella M. Anderson Horne Award, is designed to honor and celebrate women who are battling cancer.  This recognition allows us to recognize their Faith, Strength and Endurance.  Ella M. Anderson Horne, battle cancer for 9 years; and sadly pass away May 31, 2017. Although stricken with cancer not once did she ever give up!   It was her faith in God, the Strength of her family, and the will to live that kept her going.  Ms. Iris Hawthorne has demonstrated this same Faith, Strength, and Endurance during her own battle with Cancer.  She is truly worthy of such an honor.  Her family describes her as the light the shines in the dark. During many rounds of chemo she has been able to give God praise, quoted many times saying"I don't know what my future holds, but all I do know is that I'm going to rejoice and be glad in it"  Ms. Hawthorne is our 2019 Honoree of the Ella M. Anderson Horne Award.

We Salute You Ms. Hawthorne!
